Dear ABFM Colleagues:

I am very pleased to announce that our website has been re-designed with an
attractive new look and some updated information. See: http://www.abfm.org/
. One of the important features on the website is "Fellowships and Job
Opportunities" which provides an opportunity for employers and job-seekers
to find each other.

The annual conference begins in just over two weeks, Oct. 19-21. On-line
registration is available on the website or in person at the conference.
Sponsorship of the conference receptions and ads in the conference programs
need to be in this week, so please contact Conference Chair Robert Eger
(reger at gsu.edu) if you are interested in that.

Another question that has come up is about graduate student housing while
in Atlanta for the conference. While there are numerous hotels around that
may be a bit cheaper than the Renaissance, there is a youth hostel on Ponce
de Leon Ave and Myrtle Street (about 4 blocks from the Fox Theater) and
relatively close to the hotel. The hostel is $22 per night per bed. You
might inform any students asking about this option.
