Colleagues,
Prentice Hall has asked me to prepare a new edition of my text, Financial Management for Public, Health, and Not-for-Profit Organizations.
For those of you familiar with my text, I am seeking your advice on things that need to be updated in the book. Obviously, I will update all years in examples, and freshen up the homework problems.
Ross Rubenstein at the Maxwell School has suggested that I divide the long capital budgeting chapter into two chapters with Long Time Financing broken off as a separate chapter. Do you feel that is a good idea?
Are there other structural changes that are needed? Are there areas (or even small specific sections) that have become outdated (please be as specific as possible). What else do you believe needs to be changed, other than a general updating?
I really appreciate any input you can provide. It will help me judge how long the revision will take, and also help me make the text as useful for everyone as possible.
Please don't be concerned about immediate changes to your preps. A new edition will NOT be published for use in the 2007-2008 academic year.
thanks for your help.
