Dear ABFM member,

My name is Garrison Marr and I’m a graduate student at the University of
Illinois at Chicago. I am compiling a database of teaching materials on
behalf of the Association for Budgeting and Financial Management or
ABFM. The database will be comprised of case studies, budget exercises,
syllabi, reading lists and other information of that nature for
educators and practitioners to reference at ABFM’s website (www.abfm.org).

We would greatly appreciate you submitting any of these materials to us
from courses you teach pertaining to budgeting and financial management.
I realize that many of you make your syllabi and other course materials
available through your personal or university website, but we think that
having as many teaching materials as possible available and organized on
one website would be a valuable and efficient resource for many people.
We are having a particularly difficult time collecting academic
materials at the Ph.D. level, and assignments and case studies at any
level (although our reading list and syllabi libraries are becoming
pretty impressive).

If you have any materials of this nature, please send them to me via
email, gmarr2 at uic.edu <mailto:gmarr2 at uic.edu>, or in a hard copy format to:

Please contact me with any questions or concerns regarding the project.
In addition to email, you can also contact me at (312)355-2286
Monday-Thursday from 12-5. Or contact ABFM Chair Dr. Rebecca Hendrick at
hendrick at uic.edu <mailto:hendrick at uic.edu> or (312) 355-0305.

Thank you for your time and consideration. Any materials contributed to
the database will be greatly appreciated!

Thanks again,

Garrison Marr
