Professor (m/f) Geo-Information for Governance
Please be aware that the International Institute for Geo-Information Science and Earth Observation (ITC) in The Netherlands currently has a Professor position available in the Department of Urban and Regional Planning and Geoinformation Management.
The Professor of Geo-Information for Governance focuses on initiating, coordinating and executing research, education and projects in the field of geo-information to support governance in specific contexts. This involves: informatization of public administration and its implications for the governance system, with emphasis on developing countries; geo-information provision and use for policy development; role of information in actor's (public sector, market and civil society) participation in processes of governance; spatial planning and decision support systems. It implies collaborative research at the intersection of Information Systems, Public Administration and International Development
